Eligibility CriteriaThe eligibility requirements for the certification examination are listed below. To become credentialed, candidates must submit evidence that they have earned 200 points through primary care board certification, advanced training and education, experience, an academic appointment, or clinical research in the field of lipid disorders. Although rigorous, the requirements have been designed to provide any physician with demonstrated knowledge and experience in lipids an avenue to become certified as a clinical lipid specialist. |

Basic Requirements for All Candidates
Training RequirementsAccumulate 200 points, which must be earned through a combination of points from the options below.
Please remember that you will be required to present copies of certificates of attendance for the CME activities that you submit for points and the titles of the activities must be clearly identified. If the title of the session is not clearly related to lipids, we also encourage you to submit a copy of the program or educational outline to assist with credentialing review.
